Besides these platforms, these days LinkedIn and Twitter have turned into good platforms to land freelance opportunities you just need to explore them.

The qualities you should have to sustain your Freelance career -

  1. Communication- This is by far the most important skill that you should have to make it big in the freelance world. You should have the art of convincing your client that why you are the right person for the job, you must know how to pitch in the price for your work, learn to build trust with your client this might help you work for them in future also.

  2. Discipline - Since you are all on your own in the freelance career, you are not entitled to answer anybody so you need to work in disciplined manner in order to derive good results, you are the one who has to keep yourself motivated and driven.

Cons-

  1. You have to work alone and you might end up feeling isolated.
  2. Sometimes the workload may be too much to deal with while on some occasions finding work can be difficult.
  3. As you have to manage everything sometimes you may feel burn out.
  4. You don't get to enjoy the extra benefits and perks that people get as a part of their jobs like health and travel compensations.
  5. Managing your taxes on your own can be a challenge.
